Life is meant to be enjoyed.
When you really realize your life is your movie, it’s easy to recognize the importance of JOY.
Playing in all its forms be it in theatre or on the rugby field has tremendous benefits: camaraderie, friendships, community building at its best!
Creativity is key. So are laughter and friendships. When you have an opportunity to play at a theatre or sports you are cultivating community and you are stretching yourself.
The Knowlton Players group in Brome Lake is a non-profit composed of brilliant writers and talented actors and singers who come together to share their gifts. It is very much a group effort from set creation and choreography to lights and even marketing. When a performance happens and the community gets the opportunity to experience the diverse talent and abundance of love that the whole shares, everyone wins!
After having had the opportunity to do several dinner theatres and more recently a few musicals with some extremely talented folks, the wealth of laughter and friendship and bonding fed my soul and I am still coasting on that nourishment to this day.
I have found that friendships form and bonds are created. We are social animals and everyone we meet will teach us something about ourselves and it is up to us to make space to discover what that is. You do not have to think of it as developing talent. Maybe the interaction and involvement are enough to feed your soul.
My suggestion? Make a move and start playing at life - whatever that might look like for you. Find what makes you happy and go for it. Hopefully, along the way you’ll cultivate new friendships, and stretch yourself to become a more authentic and joyful version of YOU.
